Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer supporting our eCommerce Team in Chicago's Fulton Market (Hybrid Eligible), you will:

• Operate within a Data Engineering agile team and participate in all aspects of teams work of building out John Deere's Ecommerce applications Data engineering and analytics capabilities
• Collaborate and work with data scientists, data wranglers, product manager and architect to analyze requirements, implementation and integration of different data sources.
• Provide implementation of complex data manipulations, help improvement of projects (performance, quality, cost) and ensure resolution of production issues in timely manner based on SLA.
• Pair with other team members to ensure quality of deliverable, optimal solutions and facilitation of cross pollination of knowledge.
• Utilize understanding of Cloud Computing, Analytics and Integration patterns to leverage in creating a Data driven and Scalable Environment to support Ecommerce.

What Skills You Need

• 5+ years of work experience with Python, Spark and Scala
• 4+ years of work experience with Hadoop and Databricks
• 3+ years of work experience with R, NumPy or SciPy
• 2+ years of work experience with Data Management and Infrastructure
• 2+years of work experience with SQL or NoSQL
• 2+ years of work experience with Data Analytics
• 2+ years of work experience with Public Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)

What Makes You Stand Out

• 2+ years of work experience with Java and Spring
• 2+ years of work experience as a Team Lead
• 2+ years of work experience in Test Driven Development (TDD)
• 2+ years of work experience collaborating across multiple stakeholders and lines of business
• 1+ years of work experience with eCommerce

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
